This standard demonstrates that an organisation has a documented environmental management system in place. It is fully compatible with the ISO 9001: 2000 (Quality) and OHSAS 18001 (Health & Safety) management system standards and can be fully integrated with either or both these management systems if required. The ISO 14001 standard enables organisations to ensure that they can control their working practices and improve their environmental performance.
The chart illustrates the process your business goes through to achieve this standard.
